The new term starts at Amberley Playgroup on Wednesday 4th September and we are looking forward to welcoming back our existing children and also saying hello to our new children and their families when they join us.

Toddlers will be back on Tuesday the 3rd so pop along with your baby or toddler and see us then!

Amberley Playgroup have been making eco bricks. Andrea has led the way to rid our setting of 'floppy plastic' that ends up in landfill. We have joined an eco brick scheme so that we can take our filled bottles to be used in construction projects but first we are going to make a piece of furniture to be used at playgroup. Well done everyone!

We had fun raising money this week by baking cakes and flinging pies at the teachers. We spent time discussing where the money we raise goes and how it helps children just like us.

We had a change for snack today and sampled pancakes with a variety of toppings including a selection of fruit, golden syrup, lemon juice and sugar as a special treat, delicious!

We celebrate the brilliance of books every day at Ambeley but on the first Thursday in March we devote a whole day to the joy that books and reading can give us. We have asked children to bring in their favourite stories and the teachers will do the same and of course, feel free to dress up as a favourite character!
